Finding the Words
How does one put into words the way their heart feels?
When sometimes it is so hard to put the right words to each emotion?
Where does one begin to look for these words?
Do you look in a book, at a movie, to music,
Or do you look in our minds that are filled with so many things?
Does one ever really find the right words?
I can say that I love you,
But does that really even close to what I’m feeling?
Or is it just an excuse because I can’t find the right words?
Anyone can say I love you, but to truly mean it then that is something different.
When you really give your heart to one that you love
Then you know just the right words to say
And there are times when words are not needed
And you will know just when those times are,
Because you will have such a connection that words are not needed.
When I tell you I love you
Know that it comes from my heart
And that I am trying very hard to find just the right words
That truly describes just how I feel about you,
And what you really mean to me.
So don’t get upset with me when I say I love you,
Because those are the words
That are best able to let you know how I feel.
As time passes I will find the right words
And when I will let you know
Every feeling and emotion
That I have when it comes to you.
You need to know that you have my heart,
And that you are an important part of my life.
There is not one thing I would change
When it come to you,
Or my feelings for you.
Why can’t I find the right words?
When they usually come so easily,
And I know how I feel about you.
Why is it so different when it comes to you?
Is it that I am scared,
Or that I’m still unsure about how you feel about me?
Or is it that I have built so many walls
And don’t want to be hurt anymore.
I know that we have such a passion
When we are together
And that the attraction is there,
What I don’t know is there
More than that between us
Is this the reason that I’m so afraid?
Or is it that I’m not looking in the right direction
To find my answers?
Could you please help me out here
And tell me where I stand when it comes to you?
What else can I do
For you to see what I see?
When I find the right words
I can finally tell you everything
That is in my heart.
